Night Mares

  1. NIGHT MARES - A black, white and grey acrylic painting on a 16 x 20 size canvas board. This spare-time painting was done circa 1980.

The inspiration for this painting came when I glanced at the title of Nelson Bond's book "Nightmares and Daydreams". I read the first word in the title as "Night Mares," and thought of wild stallions stampeding in the moonlight. I decided to paint it.

When my son Steve found out that I had sold the painting he was a bit disappointed, he had seen the painting when I was about three quarters of the way done with it and had hoped I would give it to him. I didn't know that, so later, since he is a supporter of the "Save the Wolves" activists, I painted "Wolves" for him (picture 169) and I feel good about that.

Actually, my website was created and designed by Steve, he's been involved in computer science and technology for over 20 years and is often invited by companies and organizations, both in the USA and abroad, to lecture on the subject.

One Christmas day after finishing a delicious meal prepared by Steve and his wife, Debi, we all gathered in the living room as is our annual custom, to open our presents. One of the presents handed to me was an 8.5 x 11 inch envelope containing a photo of the opening graphic presentation of this website. Above the photo were the words, "Merry Christmas Dad! We've bought you a new home, an online home, that is. Your website address is: http://www.stephenfabian.com - Love Debi, Steve and all the Puppies."

So that's why you are able to visit me here at my internet home.
